The small historic city of Elgin is situated on the main A96 road, 65 miles west of Aberdeen and 40 miles east of Inverness.

Attractions to Elgin and the surrounding area include Elgin Cathedral, Johnston's Woollen Mill, Glenmoray Distillery, The Whisky Trail at Speyside Distilleries, and numerous walking, golfing and fishing opportunities.

The Richmond Bed and Breakfast is located in the centre of Elgin and is easy to find from the A9 trunk road - take the A95 at Aviemore, then the A941 to Elgin at Craigellachie.
